Providence of San Francisco was founded by the Providence Baptist Church, inspired by the vision of Pastor Calvin Jones Jr. As he walked the streets of the Bayview Hunters Point Community, he saw the urgent need to help our community, our children, and the homeless. He declared, “We can and we must do more.” Thus, Providence was born again as a foundation to provide protective care for our communities.
